A simple theory for the Raman spike

چکیده
The classical stimulated Raman scattering system describing resonant interaction between two electromagnetic waves and a fast relaxing medium wave is studied by introducting a systematic perturbation approach in powers of the relaxation time. We separate amplitude and phase effects for these complex fields. The analysis of the former shows the existence of a stagnation distance after which monotonous energy transfer begins from one electromagnetic wave to the other and this quantity is calculated. Concerning phase effects we give the conditions for the formation of a Raman spike from an initial fast and large phase jump in one of the waves. The spike evolution and width estimated from the reduced model agree with the results from numerical simulations of the original system.

Theory of Pump Depletion and Spike Formation in Stimulated Raman Scattering.
By using the inverse spectral transform, the SRS equations are solved and the explicit output data is given for arbitrary laser pump and Stokes seed profiles injected on a vacuum of optical phonons. For long duration laser pulses, this solution is modified such as to take into account the damping rate of the optical phonon wave. This model is used to interprete the experiments of Drühl, Wenzel ...
متن کاملSpectroscopy, Structural, and Optical Investigations of NiFe2O4 Ferrite
Ni ferrite crystalline material is synthesized using a sol-gel method at two different temperatures. The vibrational and stretching modes, crystalline phase, size distribution and morphology of the products are investigated via Raman back-scattering and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, XRD and FESEM, respectively. Vibrational modes of spinel ferrite are observed at Raman and FTIR...
متن کاملObservation of Raman Gain in Reduced Length of Bismuth Erbium Doped Fiber
Raman amplification of a 49 cm Bismuth oxide (Bi2O3) as a nonlinear gainmedium based erbium doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) is reported in new and compactdesign in near infrared spectral regions. The bismuth glass host provides theopportunity to be doped heavily with erbium ions to allow a compact optical gain fiberamplifier design by using reduced fiber length and the 1480...
متن کاملAutomated cosmic spike filter optimized for process Raman spectroscopy.
Despite the existence of various methods to remove cosmic spikes from Raman data, only a few of them are suitable for process Raman spectroscopy. The disadvantages of these algorithms include increased analysis time, low accuracy of spike detection, or reliance on variable parameters that must be chosen by trial and error in each case. We demonstrate a novel approach to detecting cosmic spikes...
متن کاملDetecting compressive strain by evaluation of Raman spectroscopy of the multiwall Carbon nanotubes/TiO2 nanocomposites
Functionalized Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (f-MWCNTs) which are modified using nitric acid and sulfuric acid were evaluated to synthesize a uniform nanocomposite via application of TiO2. The f-MWCNTs-TiO2 nanocomposites have been produced via using the chemical simple two-step method. To characterize the structural analysis, scanning electron microscopy...
